Prince William Talks About Getting In Trouble Over Helicopter Flight

Jan Westmark - Celebrity News Service

London, England (CNS) - Prince William, who has recently been under fire from the British press for his military helicopter flight, talked about it briefly while on a visit to Wales. The prince was called a "show off" by the press last month when he landed a chopper in a field behind his girlfriend Kate Middleton's family home.

According to People.com, William visited a community center in Penygraig, Wales, and told an elderly lady at the community center that he has been working on getting his license and that he is doing as much flying as he can. Then he told her, "But I've been accused of wasting money - joyriding."

The lady told reporters that he said he got in trouble for it but he was also very nice about it. William is being trained to fly a Chinook as part of his stint with the Royal Air Force. During the flight in which he landed the chopper in his girlfriend's yard, the Ministry of Defense rushed to William's defense and said it was part of his ongoing training.
