Los Angeles, CA (CNS) - Gerard Butler won't have to appear in court yet for charges relating to an attack on a paparazzo in Los Angeles back in 2008. Butler's attorney has persuaded the judge in pushing the arraignment back until August.
The incident in question occurred in October outside the premiere of Guy Ritchie's film "RocknRolla." The photographer alleges that Butler lost his temper and punched him in the face. Butler claims that he was being stalked and that the pap chased him through Hollywood, running two red lights and almost killing several pedestrians in the process.
Prosecutors have filed a misdemeanor battery charge against "The Ugly Truth" star. He faces up to six months in jail if convicted. The Scottish actor is scheduled to appear in court on August 18.
