Los Angeles, CA (AHN) - Filipino pound-for-pound king Manny Pacquiao is gearing up for a world title clash and a place among boxing's all-time greats when he collides with Puerto Rican WBO champ Miguel Cotto next weekend in Las Vegas.
Pacquiao, coming off a second-round demolition of British hero Ricky Hatton in May, is on the cusp of boxing glory as he tries for a record seventh world title in seven different weight divisions.
The vaunted ring prowess of the Filipino boxer will be put to test by the hard-hitting Cotto.
The much-anticipated showdown will be about the quicker Pacquiao, who packs a combination of vicious punches against the bigger and younger Cotto, who is known for his power.
Pacquiao, 30, owns a record of 49 wins, 3 defeats and 2 draws, while Cotto, 29, the WBO welterweight champ, has a 34-1 record.
