Mount Airy, NC (AHN) - A man believed to have fatally shot four men outside a Mount Airy store on Sunday has been arrested by police.
The victims, all Hispanic males, were killed in the parking lot of a store that sells satellite dish and cable television equipment by another Hispanic male at 2 p.m.
According to WGHP-TV, Marcos Chavez Gonzales was arrested in a motel in Henry County, Virginia during the pre-dawn hours of Monday. He will be detained in Virginia on four counts of first-degree murder until authorities order his transfer to North Carolina.
Two of the victims were pronounced dead at the scene and the other two were pronounced dead at a local hospital.
The 29-year-old suspect allegedly shot four Hispanics outside the Wood's TV store Sunday. WXII reports Mount Airy Police Chief Dale Watson as saying the shooting was not random, but he gave no reason for that suspicion.
Gonzalez had fled the area in a pickup truck, according to reports.
Mount Airy is about 50 miles north of Winston-Salem.
