Improvised Bomb Experiment Explosion Injures Student In Sweden

Stockholm, Sweden (AHN) - A 17-year-old high school student was injured Tuesday night when a home-made bomb he was experimenting exploded at a hotel kitchen in central Sweden.

The unnamed student from the Aviation College of Sweden (ACS) suffered serious burns on his arms and lost his hearing when the black gunpowder bomb exploded at 9 p.m. He was taken to the hospital for treatment.

ACS is located in Vasperas city, some 70 miles west of the Swedish capital Stockholm. It trains students on aircraft mechanics and navigation.
