MORRIS TOWNSHIP - State police in Clearfield reported fatal accident that occurred Sunday morning near 3 a.m.
James Flick of Morrisdale was traveling north on state Route 53 near Emigh Run Road. He attempted to negotiate a left curve in the roadway when his vehicle traveled off the eastern side of the roadway and overturned onto its left side before it struck a utility pole with its roof.
Flick was pronounced dead at the scene by Clearfield County Deputy Coroner Michael Polachek.
Police were assisted at the scene by Morris Township and Hope Fire Departments, Moshannon Valley Emergency Medical Services, Penelec and PennDOT.
