State Police Report School Bus Accident in Elk County

FOX TOWNSHIP - State police in Ridgway reported that a bus carrying 19 students was struck from behind Thursday morning.

According to police the bus was picking a student up along state Route 255 at 7:15 a.m. when a Weedville man failed to stop for the bus and struck it from behind.

Police reported that no students were injured in the accident. The report did not mention whether either driver was injured in the accident. The investigation is ongoing and charges are pending.

Police were assisted at the scene by Fox Township Fire Department and Fire Police, Bennettes Valley and Saint Marys Ambulance services, STATMedEvac and PennDOT.
