April 2nd, 2008 Union Training Available in Painting, Glazing and Drywall
HARRISBURG - State Rep. Camille “Bud” George, D-74 of Houtzdale said the Western Pennsylvania District Council #57 Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program will be accepting apprenticeship applications in painting, glazing and drywall finishing.
Applications must be submitted in person from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 22 and 24 at the District Council # 57 office at 101 Ewing Road, Carnegie, PA 15106.
Although applicants will be selected with intent to hire, no jobs are guaranteed. Employment, when available, will be through the council’s collective-bargaining agreements.
Applicants must:
● Be at least 18, have a high school diploma or GED to be submitted with application, and have a valid driver’s license and dependable transportation;
● Submit a $20, non-refundable processing fee by certified check or money order with the application;
● Submit to a certified drug test before acceptance into the program.
