JAY TOWNSHIP – The Ridgway State Police investigated a report of aggravated assault at approximately 11:20 p.m. Sunday in Jay Township, Elk County.
According to the report, a 12-year-old Force girl was allegedly assaulted by two Force women and a Kersey man during a verbal disagreement. A 40-year-old woman allegedly struck the girl numerous times in the head, chest and abdominal area. The man allegedly struck the girl twice in the face.
The girl sustained serious body injuries as a result of the assault and was transported to the Elk Regional Health Center by the Bennett’s Valley Ambulance Service. She received treatment for her injuries.
Children and Youth Services were contacted about the incident. Charges will be filed.
