Rising Fuel Costs Currently not Affecting LT Operations

(GantDaily Graphic)

CLEARFIELD – Lawrence Township Supervisor Chairman Bill Lawhead said the rising cost of fuel has not overly affected the township’s working schedule.

“So far we’re doing okay,” said Lawhead.

He said that gas costs for the police department are what they are.

Lawhead also said that recent paving bids are around where they were expected. Fuel and energy costs have caused cold patching material to go up. Lawhead said that township has been stingy with its use of that material.

“On the near horizon I don’t see any cut in the working hours,” said Lawhead.
