Monday Brings Start of DuBois Signal Job

CLEARFIELD – Monday marks the start of PennDOT’s signal project along Route 219 in the city of DuBois. Crews will be working to replace some signals along the state Route 219 corridor and motorists should expect delays. The work zones will be controlled by flaggers from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. each weekday.

Work will take place at the following intersection locations:
• SR 219 and Park Avenue
• SR 219 and Scribner Avenue
• SR 219 and West Long Avenue
• SR 219 and West Washington Avenue

The signal replacement work is part of a larger project that will also address updating the timing of the signals along SR 219 and SR 255 in the DuBois area. This work will allow the timing of the signals to be temporarily re-set to assist with better traffic flow during I-80 detours through the DuBois area. The job is scheduled to last through September.

The contractor on this $525,000 project is Kuharchik Construction Inc. of Exeter, PA. PennDOT reminds motorists to move through all work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and always buckle up.
