Police Seek Public's Help with Auto Accident

DECATUR TOWNSHIP - State police in Clearfield are seeking the public's help in identifying two vehicles that were involved in an automobile accident on state Route 53, about 100 feet from Horton Street, on Wednesday evening.

According to police William Miller of Osceola Mills was traveling south on SR 53. Two vehicles were traveling north, side by side. One was a smaller red car and the other was a blue and silver Monte Carlo.

According to the report the Monte Carlo crossed into the southbound lane. Miller steered hard tot he left in order to avoid a collision. He then went across the SR 53 into the east berm. Miller went into small ditch and struck a tree.

The other two vehicles continued north.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information is asked to contact the state police in Clearfield at 857-3800.
