(GantDaily Graphic)

PORTER TOWNSHIP – An all terrain vehicle accident claimed the life of a 93-year-old Drayton man on Saturday afternoon, the Punxsutawney State Police reported.

According to the report, Nathan Paul McDonald was operating an ATV on the hillside of a field. He hit a stump in the middle of the field and was thrown off. His ATV then flipped and landed on top of him.

Police said McDonald was later found by a family member and pronounced dead at the scene by Jefferson County Corner, Bernard Snyder. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services and the Ringgold Volunteer Fire Department.
