Motorcyclist Injured in Accident on Rockton Mt. Highway

CLEARFIELD - A motorcyclist was injured when a 25-year-old Clearfield woman attempted to pass the biker.

The Lawrence Township Police Department reported the accident happened sometime between Tuesday and Wednesday. The Clearfield woman was attempting to pass two motorcycles. According to police she swerved back into the right lane and struck one of the bikes.

She then fled the area.

About five minutes later police got another call from a township resident that he had found the car that struck the motorcycle. It had crashed along Martin Street Extension.

Police took the woman into custody for DUI and related offenses.

The motorcycle operator suffered moderate injuries.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Clearfield Borough Police Department, Lawrence Fire Company 1, AJ Ross Towing and DuBois Harley Davidson.
