CLEARFIELD - Penelec crews were called out to two separate incidents Wednesday evening and early Thursday morning in the Moshannon Valley. According to Penelec Area Manager John Shimko, at approximately 9:30 pa.m. Wednesday an equipment failure on a pole on Logan St in Osceola Mills failed, resulting in wire connectors burning off. Penelec crews arrived on the scene and isolated the equipment at 9:58 p.m. Repairs will be completed at a later time. Customers in the area experienced a brief power interruption and flickering lights.
At approximately 6:30 a.m. Thursday morning a wire came down on Spruce St. in Madera, causing a momentary interruption for customers in the area and an outage for one customer. Penelec replaced a fused cut out and a lightning arrester and restored power at 8:00 a.m.
