Clearfield Borough Council to Consider Parking Project Near Hospital, Fairgrounds
CLEARFIELD – Clearfield Borough Council is considering a paving project near Clearfield Hospital and the fairgrounds.
That news came at Thursday night’s meeting of Clearfield Borough Council.
According to Borough Operations Manager Leslie Stott, the hospital has been working with the fair board on paving a 60 feet by 250 feet piece of property. The project would cost between $100,000 and $300,000, according to Stott.
She also added that paving it would help hospital employees with parking, would provide more parking in-general and would also help the drainage problem that plagues the nearby ball field.
Borough Solicitor F. Cortez “Chip” Bell III noted that the hospital would provide lighting to the lot. Borough Code Enforcement Officer Jim Kling added that the hospital indicated that they would also maintain the lot.
Kling said that water from the lot would be diverted to McBride Street.
Clearfield Borough Council will make a decision on the plans at their meeting next Thursday after the Clearfield Borough Planning Commission reviews the plans on Monday.
