CLEARFIELD - During the summer months donations plunge dramatically. That’s why we must launch our Summer Emergency Drive. We’re asking you to support your local American Red Cross during this challenging time of year.
We are grateful for our many friends who donate throughout the year. Giving slows to a trickle during June, July and August, but the need for our assistance does not go away. Our programs and services must go on; we must be ready at all times with our immediate, emergency assistance we are committed to providing.
This is YOUR American Red Cross!! In fact, you are the American Red Cross if you give time, money and/or your blood. We wouldn’t be able to provide our programs and services without generous donations. YOU may not be there when we provide disaster assistance to those who have lost everything, but YOUR gift will be!!

Anyone who presents to donate blood from July 1 through August 31 will automatically be entered in a grand prize drawing for a year’s supply of gas, valued at $2,400, or one of five $100 gas cards offered as runner-up prizes!

Clearfield-Jefferson Red Cross is holding a 50-50 raffle to be drawn on August 2 at 10:00 p.m. at the Clearfield County Fair. Tickets are a $1.00 donation and will be available at the Red Cross offices or from board members and volunteers.
Babysitter Training will be held August 9 at the Red Cross office. Students must be 11- 15 years of age and will receive a manual, first aid kit, wall and wallet certificates. They will learn Basic care, problem solving, safety related measures, basic breathing and first aid emergencies, safe play and more. Call 765-5516 to register.
