Meals on Wheels Looking for Volunteers

CLEARFIELD - The Clearfield County Area Agency on Aging kicked off an extensive volunteer recruitment effort on August 1. Informational flyers, door hangers and yard signs, all containing the logo below, continue to be distributed throughout various parts of Clearfield County in an attempt to secure new volunteer drivers.

Meals on Wheels & More provides nutritious meals and human interaction for more than 1,000 Clearfield County residents annually. On average, our Meals on Wheels & More program serves nearly 170,000 meals per year. The Agency’s state of the art Meal Production and Distribution Facility enables us to produce nutritious meals efficiently, but it doesn’t end there. The communities of Kylertown, Grassflat, Hawk Run and Karthaus, as well as Clearfield, need volunteers immediately to deliver these meals to your neighbors, your friends, and maybe even your family. Volunteers receive $0.45/mile reimbursement for miles they travel while delivering the meals plus the joy and satisfaction of knowing they made a difference in their neighbors’ lives.
