County DUI Strike Force to Conduct Checkpoints

Clearfield-- The Clearfield County DUI Strike Force will be conducting safety and DUI checkpoints and roving patrols over the weekend.

Officers from Clearfield Borough, Curwensville Borough, Decatur Township, DuBois City, Lawrence Twp. Morris-Cooper Regional, and Sandy Township Police Departments, will be conducting the checkpoints and roving patrols.

It is the goal of the DUI Strike Force to reduce the number of injuries and deaths caused by intoxicated drivers in Clearfield County. Motorists who encounter a checkpoint should expect only a minimal delay if they are not impaired by alcohol or a controlled substance.

In addition, police will be checking for and issuing citations for seatbelt violations and aggressive driving.
