County Commissioners Approve Applying for Grant Funding for Bradford Township

CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners approved a grant application to help residents in Bradford Township with getting public water.

The competitive Community Development Block Grant being applied for is in the amount of $500,000. The project, which consists of 73 homes on Houser and Shiloh Roads has a total projected cost of $1,890,000.

Lisa Kovalick, community development specialist, said that project the project has some funding already. Other sources include loans, grants and or matching funds from Pennvest, PA American Water Co. and Bradford Township.

“This is a much needed project,” said County Commissioner Mark McCracken.
