Commissioners Approve Bid for CCJ Parking Lot Expansion

CLEARFIELD - The Clearfield County Commissioners approved a parking lot expansion bid on Tuesday for the Clearfield County Jail.

Two bids were received; one from HRI Inc. in the amount of $77,000 and the other from New Enterprise Stone & Lime in the amount of $30,776.40. According to engineer Carrie Stewart the bid from New Enterprise was incomplete and was not considered. The commissioners then approved the bid from HRI.

This is at least the second time the project was bid out. The first time bids came in higher than expected and the commissioners rejected them. The project would provide about 20 to 24 additional parking spaces at CCJ.
