Art Education Program to Offer Saturday Classes for Children

UNIVERSITY PARK - Penn State's Art Education Program will sponsor Saturday art classes this fall for students in pre-school through eighth grade.

Interested participants may register now for the nine-week session, which begins Sept. 20 and concludes with a show of students' work on Dec. 6. No classes will be scheduled for Oct. 25 and Nov. 29.

Classes will be taught from 9 to 11 a.m. by advanced art education students in collaboration with art education faculty and graduate teaching assistants. They will be held in studio classrooms in Patterson and the Visual Arts Buildings on the University Park campus. Class activities will be tailored to students at each age/grade level.
