Two PA Men Arrested After Traffic Stop on I-80 (GantDaily Graphic) |

DUBOIS - State police in DuBois announced the arrest of two Pennsylvania men following a traffic stop on Interstate 80 Saturday evening.
According to police the stop was conducted near milemarker 97 eastbound, for summary violations. Once contact was made officers noted the scent of burnt marijuana. The occupants were questioned and it was noted that a large sum of cash was in teh glove box.
A consent to search was granted and troopers found $4,065 in U.S. currency and about 12 ounces of marijuana in the trunk of the vehicle. A pat-down of one suspect, James Simon of Luzerne, resulted in a small amount of marijuana being found.
James Simon and the other occupant, Albert Simon of Nanticoke, were arraigned before Magisterial District Judge Richard Ireland. Albert Simon was released on $25,000 unsecured bail and Albert Simon was held in Clearfield County Jail in lieu of $50,000 straight bail.
