Three Illegal Immigrants Detained After Traffic Stop

DUBOIS – Three illegal immigrants were detained after a traffic stop on West DuBois Avenue, near First Street Tuesday morning, the DuBois City Police Department reported.

According to the report, a pick-up truck was stopped for driving without lights at 7:30 a.m. Police said it was determined that the three occupants were illegal immigrants and taken into custody.

Police said the operator was arraigned before District Justice Patrick N. Ford for driving without a license and a moving violation. All three were further detained for the Immigration Naturalization Service and turned over to their agents.
