CLEARFIELD – In an effort to increase notification and overall safety to the citizens of Clearfield County the Clearfield County Department of Emergency Management and Clearfield County Board of Commissioners have updated the county’s E-Alerts system.
The system originally provided emergency responders with text and email alerts of emergency incidents.
Now the system has been upgraded to allow residents to subscribe and select their home municipality. By signing up for this option the resident will receive text or email alerts of major road closures, phone and utility outages and other important information based on the municipality they signed up for.
Residents can subscribe to this service and receive other useful information at Clearfield911.com.
Clearfield County does not charge for this service but residents should check with their cellular carrier for potential charges for incoming messages.
