Emergency Responders Called to Indutrial Accident in Clearfield

CLEARFIELD – Emergency responders were called to the Bionol Clearfield ethanol plant construction site on Thursday for an accident.

According to information from the Clearfield Borough Police Department, Richard Korb of Woodland was dumping dirt from a truck owned by Glen O. Hawbaker when the load shifted and the truck overturned. Clearfield Fire Chief Brett Owens said the accident was the result of a hydraulic shaft breaking.

Korb was able to get to the passenger door where other workers were able to assist him in exiting the vehicle.

Police said that Korb was taken to Clearfield Hospital to be examined for unknown injuries.
