Accident in Falls Creek Leaves Three Injured

FALLS CREEK – According to state police in DuBois three people were injured in an automobile accident in Falls Creek Borough on Wednesday night.

Police reported that Kimberly Swarmer of Punxsutawney was traveling north on state Route 950 when she failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of SR 950 and SR 830. She entered the intersection directly in front of a vehicle driven by Harry Shaffer of Falls Creek, who was traveling east on SR 830. He struck the driver’s side door of the Swarmer vehicle with the front end of his vehicle.

According to police Swarmer was extricated from her vehicle by members of the Falls Creek Fire Company. She was initially taken to DRMC-West by DuSan Ambulance and later flown to Altoona Regional for treatment of moderate injuries.

Harry Shaffer, who suffered moderate injuries, and his passenger, Twila Shaffer, who suffered minor injuries, were transported to DRMC-West by DuSan Ambulance.
