CASD Honors Retirees, Student Representatives

The Clearfield Area School District Board of Directors honored several of its faculty and staff at Monday night’s combined committee and board meeting. The board’s student representatives were also recognized by the administration.

Superintendent Richard C. Makin expressed his gratitude to the retirees.

“I can’t even express in words. You’ve all made a difference in many, many students’ lives. I hope you remember that,” he said.

Student representatives Chris Renaud and Sarah Narehood shared their future plans with the board.

Renaud said that he will attend Bucknell University in the fall. He said that he later aspires for law school.

“It’s always been my dream,” he said.

Narehood said that she intends to continue her education at Messiah College and will later seek a master’s degree. She said that she would like to pursue a career in counseling.

“I hope your experience (as a student representative) has been a good one,” Makin said. “I think the board has certainly benefited. I wish you the best.”
