Man Found Along State Route 2031 May Have Been Victim of Assault

WINSLOW TOWNSHIP - State police in DuBois are investigating what they believe to be a case of aggravated assault.

According to police on May 28 a 69-year-old Big Run man was found alongside state Route 2031 in a very intoxicated state. His vehicle was parked nearby. Emergency medical services were called to the scene and the man was transported to DRMC-West by ambulance. He was later transferred to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh. Police said the man suffered severe injuries, possibly the result of an aggravated assault.
