Centre County: Rush Township Accident Under Investigation

RUSH TOWNSHIP - State police in Philipsburg are investigating an accident in Rush Township that destroyed a Mazda.

According to police the accident occurred at 6 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The accident occurred along the "S-Curves" along US Route 322.

Police said a Mazda took an inside curve too tight and struck a large rock. The vehicle then climbed the embankment for about 120 feet before striking a culvert. The vehicle then slid across the highway and came to rest against a guide rail. Police stated that the vehicle was destroyed. The driver of the vehicle is currently unknown to police.
