CLEARFIELD - To the delight of stands filled with kids the Zooperstars took to the stage at the Clearfield County Fair.

The Zooperstars are a group of mascot performers who dance and interact with the audience. Music crossed the genres ranging from “Crank That”, “Witch Doctor”, Daft Punk, “Yakety Sax” and “Bye, Bye, Bye.”

Of the thirty-five Zooperstars six made a performance on stage: Yao Flamingo, Tiger Woodschuck, Pee Wee Geese, Mia Hammster, Derek Cheetah, and Mackerel Jordan.

“I liked the one with the fish and stuffy,” said Jimmy Samuels, referring to Mackerel Jordan who ate one one of the human performers.

“I liked the part where the flamingo was pecking the guy in the head,” said Tom Gallaher.

Entering the show each child received a color coded ticket according to their gender. The prizes ranged from bicycles to gift backs, and were picked by lottery as Derek Cheetah and Mia Hammster took to the stands to meet the audience.

Mason Carfley, 6, of Clearfield won the boy's bicycle. Twins Allaina and Abbie Moore won the girl's bicycle.

After the show the Zooperstars rested before heading into the park for a meet-and-greet.
