Three Injured in Weekend Accident

RUSH TOWNSHIP - Two children and one adult were injured in an automobile accident over the weekend.

According to state police in Philipsburg, the accident occurred on US Route 322 near Snowy Mountain Lane. Police said that a vehicle driven by Lawrence Woods of Philipsburg was traveling east on US Route 322. Woods slowed down when a vehicle in front of him began making a left turn. James Johns of Houtzdale was traveling behind Woods and also began to slow down. Police said that Johns' vehicle began to slide due to wet road conditions ans truck the rear of the Woods vehicle. The Woods vehicle came to rest in the eastbound lane. The Johns vehicle slid off the road and came to rest along the south berm.

Two children, one 10 and one 4, suffered injuries of an unknown severity. A passenger in the Woods vehicle, Elishia Holsinger, suffered minor injuries.
