Curwensville Man Airlifted Following Pike Township Accident

PIKE TOWNSHIP – A 24-year-old Curwensville man was transported via STAT MedEvac to the Altoona Hospital for injuries sustained in a single vehicle accident along the Old Erie Pike at 2:42 p.m. Sunday in Pike Township, Clearfield County.

Police stated Lee Neeper, 24 of Curwensville was airlifted for medical treatment. They, however, did not indicate the severity of his injuries.

Police stated Neeper was traveling south on the Old Erie Pike on his motorcycle – a 2002 Suzuki GSX-600R. They stated as he traveled south, his throttle became stuck. He was unable to slow his motorcycle, as it approached a curve in the roadway. They stated Neeper slid on the roadway until impact occurred with the guiderails.

Police were assisted at the scene by the Curwensville Emergency Medical Services.
