Philadelphia Man Faces Charges for Escape from Quehanna Boot Camp

KARTHAUS – A 33-year-old Philadelphia man will face escape charges, as he was transported from the Quehanna Boot Camp, Karthaus Township, but failed to report to the Luzerne Treatment Facility, the Clearfield-based State Police reported.

According to the report, Kevin Kareem Shelton, 33 of Philadelphia, was transported to the Fullington Bus Terminal, State College, at approximately 12:15 p.m. Monday. He was expected to arrive at the treatment facility by 7:35 p.m.

Police stated that at approximately 8 a.m. Tuesday, a lieutenant at the boot camp reported that the inmate failed to report to the treatment facility. They stated that he still had not reported as of 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
