Bridge Work Continues in Clearfield County

CLEARFIELD – Starting Monday, PennDOT will perform work on bridges along four state routes in Clearfield County. Crews will begin repair work on the following bridges:

-- Interstate 80 near the Falls Creek exit
 -- U.S. Route 219 near Burnside
 -- Route 1009 near Fairview
 -- U.S. Route 322 in Clearfield

Traffic control will consist of single lane closures on a daily basis. Crews will eventually move through Clinton, Elk, Cameron, McKean, and Potter counties to perform repairs on 82 bridges. The contractor on the $1.4 million job is Swank Construction and Associates Inc.

Completion is slated for Clearfield County work on Aug. 24.

All work is weather-dependent.

PennDOT reminds drivers to move through work zones with caution, obey posted speed limits and to always buckle-up.
