Sandy Township Moves Forward with Kiwanis Trail Project

(GantDaily Graphic)

DUBOIS – Sandy Township is moving forward with a proposed water and sewage project in the Kiwanis Trail area.

According to Dick Castonguay, township manager, the U.S. Department of Agriculture reviewed the project area and invited Sandy Township to submit a full application.

Castonguay said that the township would need to submit a public notice, ask for intergovernmental review and have an environmental review done in the project area.

The supervisors voted to allow Castonguay to move forward on the project.

“I’m glad to see we’re moving forward,” said Mark Sullivan, township supervisor.
