Athletes of the Week -- 9/11 - 9/17The Gant Daily athlete(s) of the week for September 11 through September 17 is the Clearfield pass-catch combo of Andrew Janocko to Adam Jury.
For the second week in a row the Bisons used two 4th quarter touchdowns to grasp victory from the "jaws of defeat". Most of the work being done by these two.
Janocko finished the night 20-28 and 276 yards passing. He added three rushing touchdowns and led a game winning 88 yard touchdown drive late in the 4th quarter.
Jury had a great night, despite not scoring a touchdown. He also completed a 36 yard pass and scored a 2-point conversion.
Honorable mention honors again go out to Curwensville's Nick Sipes. Sipes is steadily climbing the District 9 career rushing list, and is now 3rd. He rushed for 252 yards and 3 scores, kicked 3 extra points, and scored a 2-point conversion in Curwensville's 29-0 rout of Brockway.
