Richards Tops Shippensburg in Rushing, ReceivingWEST CHESTER --- Former Clearfield Area High School standout Dave Richards accounted for more than half of the Shippensburg offense with 117 all-purpose yards in a 24-0 Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference crossover game loss to West Chester Saturday night.
The red-shirt junior led the Raiders in rushing with 39 yards on five carries and receiving with 78 yards on five receptions. His receiving yards are a season-high for the team. He shares the single game high for catches.
For the season, Richards has 27 carries for 130 yards and seven receptions for 90 yards.
Shippensburg (2-2) will host nationally-ranked Bloomsburg (3-1) Saturday at 1 p.m.
