Clearfield Little League 9-10 All-stars Knock Off Four Leaf 14-4

GRASSFLAT - The visiting Clearfield Little League 9-and-10 All-Stars opened District 5 Northern Tier Tournament play with a 14-4 win over Four-Leaf Clover Tuesday evening.
 
Clearfield broke a 4-4 tie with three runs in the third inning and then capped the Mercy Rul victory with six runs in the bottom of the fifth.
 
Max Lohman was the winning pitcher, holding Four-Leaf Clover to five singles while striking out four and walking one.
 
Brock Bowman and Matt Jones led Clearfield with two singles apiece. Ryan Lezzer chipped in with a double.
 
Cole Harris had a pair of singles for Four-Leaf Clover.
 
Clearfield will have the home field advantage for Thursday's winner's bracket semifinal against either Mountain Top or Tri-County.
