Clinton, Obama Virtually Tied In Gallup's Latest Poll

Kris Alingod - AHN News Writer

Washington, D.C. (AHN) - The first Gallup national survey conducted after Indiana's and North Carolina's primaries have the Democratic race virtually tied between Sens. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) and Barack Obama (D-IL).

The pollster said on Thursday that Obama is ahead of Clinton nationwide by only one point, 47% to 46%. Two percent of voters supported other candidates while 6% had no opinion.

The results of Gallup's latest poll are based on interviews conducted May 5-7 among 1,235 Democratic and Democratic-leaning voters. The margin of error is 3%.
