Obama To Begin General Election Campaign on Tuesday

Kris Alingod - AHN News Writer

Washington, D.C. (AHN) - Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) may be expecting a big win in West Virginia on Tuesday but her rival is revving up his campaign and starting his general election blitz in some states.

Sen Barack Obama (D-IL) will be holding a town hall meeting together with wife Michelle and surrogate Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-MO) in Cape Girardeau, Missouri on Tuesday, according to the St. Louis Today.

He will proceed to Michigan on Wednesday, a New York Times report says. "Our schedule reflects the fact that we are still fighting for votes and delegates in the remaining contests but also that we are going to places that are going to be competitive in the fall," Campaign spokesman Bill Burton is quoted in the same report as saying.
